De momento, voy a mantener abierto shopaholic fashion blog para que podáis seguir leyendo las historias que he ido publicando a lo largo de estos cuatro años. ¡Muchísimas gracias a todos por el apoyo recibido durante todo este tiempo!

Flared trousers are back!

Cuando el fashion month da el pistoletazo de salida, no solo las propuestas de los diseñadores vaticinan lo que se va a llevar la próxima temporada. Editoras y directoras de moda, it girls, influencers y celebridades tienen un gran impacto en lo que llevamos y lo que no, por lo que se convierten en el objetivo de cientos y cientos de fotógrafos que recorren, cámara en mano, los alrededores de todo fashion show.

Una de las tendencias que está acaparando más flashes durante estas Semanas de la Moda, y que viene pisando fuerte desde el 2015, es el pantalón campana, que llega de nuevo a nuestras vidas (y armarios) al más puro estilo 60's y con talle alto, que permite combinar con crop tops y camisetas off-the-shoulder.

Denim, a rayas, de inspiración deportiva, de líneas rectas y minimalista,... Y muchas más son las opciones que ofrece esta prenda. ¿El estilo que más éxito tiene? Los pantalones que se elevan unos palmos del suelo, quedando a medio camino entre el clásico pantalón campana que se desliza por el suelo y los culottes (que, por cierto, también se llevan esta temporada); la opción ideal para aquellas que, como yo, también quieran lucir zapatos.

Aquí os dejo algunas ideas para llevar como nadie el pantalón de la temporada.

When the fashion month kicks off, not only the designers are the ones who set the fashion rules for the next season. Fashion editors and directors, it girls, influencers and celebrities have a huge impact on what we wear, and their outfits are captured by the hundreds and hundreds of photographers who, camera on hand, walk around the fashion venues.

Indeed, the trend that is right on the spotlight these fashion weeks is the wide-leg trousers. They are making a strong comeback that started in 2015. Super-flared 60's inspiration plus a high-waisted design make them perfect to combine with crop tops and off-the-shoulder pieces.

In different textures and materials -from denim to suede- and in a myriad of styles, the wide-leg trousers (or flares) offer multiple options for varied styles. But the most successful amongst the fashion crowd are the ones whose length is shorter than the traditional design, making them more similar to culottes (another must-have for the next season), and thus the perfect trend for those who, like me, want to show also their shoes.

La cazadora de cuero es uno de esos básicos que nunca pasan de moda. La podemos encontrar con un corte más tradicional, esa de toda la vida que nuestras madres atesoran de sus años de juventud en sus armarios (¡y que siguen llevando como nadie!); o bien con detalles que reinterpretan el clásico en una versión para espíritus más atrevidos; o incluso en una silueta que se aproxima más a la bomber jacket que a la biker (como la que luce la bloguera Negin Mirsalehi en la foto, y que adelanté en este post).

Lo que está claro es que en cualquiera de sus versiones la cazadora de cuero se convierte en prenda imprescindible ahora que las temperaturas van subiendo tímidamente ya que, además de dar a nuestros looks ese toque effortless de rebeldía que tanto nos gusta, ayuda a combatir de la forma más fashion ese fresquito que aún queda del invierno.

Lo primero de todo, disculpas por la falta de posts últimamente. Han sido unas semanas de locura, pero ahora que ya he terminado mi proyecto final de Máster, puedo dedicar más tiempo al blog!

Las Navidades están a la vuelta de la esquina, y también la excusa de añadir nuevas adquisiciones a nuestro armario. Puesto que el Día de Navidad es más familiar y tradicional (al menos en mi caso), siempre elijo looks un poco más discretos, aunque sin perder un ápice de modernidad. Aquí os dejo algunas ideas.

Summer is already here and holidays are just around the corner, so it's time to think about swimwear and how we are going to adapt the latest trends to our personal style.

Over the last years, we've gone from small to sometimes too tiny bikinis that left nothing to the imagination, but it seems that the fashion industry is veering into a different (and more modest) look. Don't be alarm though, we'll still show a lot of flesh this summer.

Here are my favourite looks for this season - from sexy bathing suits to the crop top bikini. 

El verano ya está aquí y las vacaciones están a la vuelta de la esquina, así que ha llegado la hora de renovar nuestros bañadores y bikinis y adaptar las nuevas tendencias a nuestro estilo personal.

En los últimos años, hemos pasado de pequeños a diminutos bikinis que dejaban poco (o nada) lugar a la imaginación, pero el mundo de la moda está girando últimamente hacia un look completamente diferente, apostando por un estilo mucho más recatado y discreto. Pero tranquilas, seguiremos luciendo tipazo este verano.

Big apologies for not having posted for a long time - it's been a really hectic month! Now that everything is calmer and the weather is finally getting warmer, we need to start thinking about adding some items to our spring/summer wardrobe. The off-the-shoulder trend is going to be definitely a must the coming season, and you can find it in shirts, t-shirts and dresses. By choosing different accessories you can dress up or down your look, and can be worn either in the morning or evening. 

Here are some inspiration looks I found, and hopefully they will help you to get some ideas on how to wear this trend.

Disculpas por no haber acuatizado el blog desde hace tiempo - ha sido un mes de locura! Ahora que todo está más tranquilo, y que el tiempo por fin va mejorando, necesitamos empezar a pensar en adquirir alguna que otra nueva prenda para nuestro armario de primavera/verano. La tendencia off the shoulder, que deja los hombros al descubierto, va a ser definitivamente un must la próxima temporada, y se puede llevar tanto en camisas y camisetas como en vestidos. Los accesorios que elijas serán los encargados de dar un toque diferente a cada look, según la ocasión, adaptando tu outfit al día o a la noche.

We women have to confess that, even though we have plenty of clothes, we love borrowing stuff from our boyfriends and male friends, specially hoodies. So when the boyfriend jeans appeared on the market, we took them without hesitation and adapted them to our style. It has been such a success that now we can add another masculine piece of clothing to our wardrobe: the boyfriend blazer. I am personally into this item since it is my favourite piece of clothing. As you already know by now, I'm obsessed with bloggers and if you are usual visitors of my blog, you have probably noticed that my favourite influencers are very different from each other. I've always found fascinating this diversity, not only of clothes but also of nationalities, ethnicities, etc. I think the more different styles, trends and cultures you can get inspired by, the better. 

The blogger phenomenon and its unstoppable success has driven crazy the fashion industry since the beginning, but it has challenged it in a positive way as well. Blogs have introduced more diversity, and the white and skinny type of women we are used to see on magazines and advertising campaigns has been challenged by this new crew of bloggers, making the fashion industry take into account minorities that have been ignored for years. 

I read an article on Fashionista about this topic and I wanted to recommend it to you - it's worth looking at: 'How bloggers made the fashion industry pay more attention to minorities'.

Como probablemente sabréis, estoy obsesionada con las blogueras, y si eres visitor frecuente de este blog, probablemente te hayas dado cuenta de que mis influencers favoritas son muy diferentes entre ellas. Siempre me ha resultado fascinante esta diversidad, no solo de prendas sino también de nacionalidades, etnias, etc. Considero que cuantos más diferentes estilos, tendencias y culturas en los que te puedas inspirar, mejor.

El fenómeno blogger y su imparable éxito ha trastocado el mundo de la moda desde el principio, pero también ha supuesto un desafío que ha contribuido a mejorarlo. Los blogs han introducido una mayor diversidad, y el prototipo de mujer delgada y blanca al que estábamos (y aún estamos) acostumbrados a ver en revistas y campañas publicitarias ha sido puesto en duda por un nuevo grupo de blogueras, provocando que la industria de la moda reaccione y tenga en cuenta esas minorías que han sido ignoradas durante años.

Hace unos días, leí un artículo en Fashionista sobre este tema y quería recomendároslo porque creo que merece la pena echarle un vistazo: 'How bloggers made the fashion industry pay more attention to minorities'.
